Job summary

Balmoral Village in Wantirna South, Melbourne, seeks a Sales Coordinator to oversee the journey of incoming residents from first tours to settlement as Balmoral residents. You will contribute to marketing, assist administration and residents with day-to-day operations, and act as 2IC to the Village Manager during periods of leave.

The role involves coordinating tours, handling enquiries, maintaining databases and supporting marketing efforts.

Qualifications

• Friendly, helpful and positive personality with a passion for dealing with members of an over 55s community
• Consultative and empathetic approach to work
• Previous experience in the Retirement Village or Land Lease Community industries preferred but not essential
• Some understanding of legal processes for settlement procedures
• First aid certification or willing to obtain
• Ability to communicate with and relate to older people
• Present well in person and over the phone
• High attention to detail and ability to prioritise time for appointments and work deadlines
• Confident and composed individual who can step into the relief role ensuring a consistent approach to managing the village, residents and staff
• Full training and support provided
• Work with a great staff team and a village of happy residents

Responsibilities

• Conducting sales tours with prospective residents and following up on enquiries
• Preparing sales brochure packs and a bi-annual newsletter for prospective residents
• Maintaining prospective resident and depositor databases
• Involvement with the marketing and promotion of the village
• Guiding incoming residents through their arrival process including selections for unit finishes and resident variations
• Assessing the refurbishments necessary for newly vacated units and liaising with contractors to manage a smooth refurbishment process
• Facilitating incoming residents' contract signing and legislative checks
• Assisting staff and supporting residents with day-to-day duties and requests as required
• As the Village Manager's 2IC, working closely with the Village Manager and assisting with outgoing residents and their representatives. Providing leave relief for Village Manager.

Job description

Reporting to the Village Manager, the Sales Coordinator's primary role is to oversee the journey of incoming residents' first tour to their eventual arrival as Balmoral residents. The Sales Coordinator will be involved in the marketing and promotion of the village and will assist the administration team and residents with the day-to-day operation of Balmoral. In addition, the Sales Coordinator will act as 2IC to the Village Manager and will stand in during periods of leave.
