Job summary

La-Z-Boy Rutherford is seeking a friendly Sales Consultant to join our team. This role is 4-5 days per week (30-36 hours), Wednesday through Sunday, with a competitive hourly wage plus commissions and ongoing training.

As part of our store, you will deliver exceptional service, showcase premium furniture, and help customers select the best solutions while contributing to sales targets and a collaborative team culture.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a customer-facing retail or sales role; preferably furniture/home furnishings.
• Minimum of 2 years' retail or sales experience.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with customers.
• Strong product knowledge and customer service focus.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and driven Sales Consultant to join our team at the La-Z-Boy retail store in Rutherford Centuria Center, NSW. As a Full-Time/Part-Time working 4-5 days Sales Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in delivering an exceptional customer experience and driving sales of our premium furniture products. The role is 4-5 days, 30-36 hrs per week Wednesday-Sunday.

Key responsibilities

Provide exceptional customer service and guide customers through the sales process

Demonstrate and showcase our furniture products to customers, highlighting their features and benefits

Actively listen to customer needs and preferences to recommend the most suitable solutions

Process sales transactions and ensure all orders are fulfilled accurately and efficiently

Maintain a clean, well‑organised and visually appealing retail environment

Support the team in achieving sales targets and store objectives

Participate in ongoing product and sales training to enhance your expertise

About you

Previous experience in a customer‑facing retail or sales role, preferably in the furniture or home furnishings industry

Minimum of 2 years' retail or sales experience is required for this position

Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and engage with customers

Strong product knowledge and a passion for providing excellent customer service

Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with colleagues to achieve shared goals

Flexible and adaptable, with a willingness to work part-time hours, including weekends

Demonstrated sales skills and a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets

Must have Australian work rights to be eligible for this position
