About the role

We are seeking a Sales Team Member to join our dynamic team at our Caringbah NSW location. This is a part-time position that offers flexibility whilst playing a vital role in driving sales and customer satisfaction. As a Sales Team Member, you will be at the forefront of our business, engaging with customers, showcasing our product range, and helping them make informed decisions about their furniture purchases. This role is essential in building lasting customer relationships and contributing to the continued success of Lounge Lovers.

Key responsibilities

Greet customers in a warm and professional manner, understanding their needs and preferences

Demonstrate product features and benefits, highlighting the quality and value of our lounge furniture range

Provide expert advice on furniture styles, materials, dimensions and pricing to guide customer purchasing decisions

Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently, ensuring a smooth checkout experience

Maintain knowledge of current stock, promotions and special offers to maximise sales opportunities

Achieve individual and team sales targets through effective selling techniques and customer engagement

Answer customer enquiries via phone and email in a timely and professional manner

Support the maintenance of a clean, organised and visually appealing store environment

Build and maintain positive relationships with customers to encourage repeat business and referrals

Work collaboratively with team members to ensure excellent customer service standards

What we're looking for

Proven experience in retail sales or customer service, ideally within furniture, home décor or a similar environment

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse customer groups

Passion for sales with a genuine desire to help customers find the right products for their needs

Ability to work towards and achieve sales targets consistently

Excellent product knowledge and the ability to quickly learn about our furniture range and features

Professional appearance and demeanour with a friendly, approachable attitude

Flexibility to work part-time hours as required, potentially including weekends

Reliability and punctuality with a strong work ethic

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Basic computer skills and familiarity with point-of-sale systems (training provided)

A genuine interest in home furnishings and design is highly desirable
