Job summary

Trek Australia is seeking a passionate Sales Associate/ Bike Mechanic (All-Rounder) to join our stores and deliver best-in-class experiences for customers. You’ll connect customers with bikes, gear, and services using our Guide Sales Process, hit sales targets, assist with merchandising and stock, and support the workshop team with bike prep.

Ideal candidates bring strong communication, teamwork, reliability, and a love for bikes; prior bike assembly/service is highly regarded.

• Customer-focused with strong communication and service orientation.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment and handle multiple tasks.
• Previous bike knowledge or/mechanic experience is valued but not required.

Responsibilities

• Use our Guide Sales Process to connect customers with the right bikes, gear, and services.
• Achieve individual monthly and annual sales targets - $400,000 per fiscal year for full-time roles.
• Develop sales and customer service skills through training, role-playing, and on-the-job experience.
• Follow up on quotes and lead lists to drive customer conversion.
• Participate in daily huddles and debriefs to stay aligned with the team.
• Assist with UBG/Warranty cases by facilitating exchanges and communicating with Inventory DRI.

About the Role

As a Sales Associate/ Bike Mechanic (All-Rounder), you're a key part of the in-store experience-offering outstanding service, reaching sales goals, and helping across all areas of the store, including merchandising, stock management, and bike mechanic experience.

• Use our Guide Sales Process to connect customers with the right bikes, gear, and services.
• Achieve individual monthly and annual sales targets-$400,000 per fiscal year for full-time roles.
• Develop your sales and customer service skills through training, role-playing, and on-the-job experience.
• Follow up on quotes and lead lists to drive customer conversion.
• Participate in daily huddles and debriefs to stay aligned with the team.
• Make customer-focused decisions to provide a positive, memorable experience.
• Respond to store phone and email inquiries with professionalism.
• Assist with UBG/Warranty cases by facilitating exchanges and communicating with Inventory DRI.

Product Knowledge

• Learn about Trek bikes, components, apparel, and technology.
• Maintain Trek University Guide Status by completing required training modules.

Store Operations

• Support opening/closing duties, operate the Ascend POS, and complete end-of-day cash-up.
• Complete tasks as directed by the Store Manager.
• Uphold Trek's uniform and presentation standards.

When Not with Customers, You'll Help:

• Complete the Daily Task List to support store efficiency.
• Maintain visual merchandising standards: product placement, pricing, and restocking.
• Conduct weekly Cycle Counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Assemble or pre-assemble bicycles and prep bikes for service by the workshop team-bike mechanic experience is highly valued.
• Keep both the showroom and back-of-house areas clean, tidy, and organized.
