Job summary

Lindsay Australia Ltd. is seeking a Rural Sales Representative at our Mareeba Branch to build long-term partnerships, drive sales across cartons, seed, fertiliser and agricultural chemicals, and support seasonal planning.

You will pursue new business, meet KPIs, stay informed on industry trends, and participate in field events. A Driver’s licence is required; forklift licence is a plus. Training and development opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated sales experience, preferably within the rural sector.
• Strong customer service focus with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to identify and pursue sales opportunities.
• Friendly and helpful manner with an ability to deal effectively with a diverse workforce.
• Ability to manage your own time, meet deadlines and take responsibility for your output and the quality of your work.
• Current & valid Driver’s licence.
• Current Forklift licence highly regarded.

• Meet financial sales targets and KPIs.
• Stay up to date with industry trends, competitor activity, and product knowledge.
• Participate in trade shows, field days, and industry conventions.
• Apply sound understanding of costs and mark-ups to ensure profitability while maintaining customer flexibility.
• Provide counter and in-store sales and service as required.
• Assist with the delivery of merchandise to customers.
• Support the day-to-day retail operations of the branch, within budget parameters to achieve profit objectives.

What You’ll Bring:

Tertiary qualifications in Agriculture, Agronomy, Horticulture, or a related field and Agsafe Accreditation are desirable but not essential.
