Job summary

Significant Risk Solutions is seeking an experienced Workplace Safety Trainer & Assessor for casual or contract work at our Bega facility and at client sites across the region. You will deliver nationally recognised safety training and bring practical, industry-focused knowledge to learners.

Applicants should hold TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, demonstrate relevant safety qualifications and industry currency, and be willing to travel.

Qualifications

• TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent.
• Relevant workplace safety qualifications and units of competency.
• Demonstrated industry experience and vocational currency.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Hands-on, practical training approach.
• Willingness to travel to client sites.

Responsibilities

• Deliver training at our Bega facility or client sites.

Casual or Contract | Bega, NSW $50–$60 per hour + superannuation About Us Significant Risk Solutions is a locally based workplace training and safety provider operating from our purpose-built training facility in Bega, NSW. We deliver practical, engaging and industry-focused training to individuals, businesses and organisations throughout the Bega Valley, Far South Coast, Snowy Monaro and surrounding regions.

Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Workplace Safety Trainer & Assessor to join our team on a casual or contract basis. We’re looking for someone with genuine industry experience who can bring their knowledge and personality into the classroom while delivering professional, practical and engaging training.

The Role

You will deliver nationally recognised workplace safety training from our Bega training facility and at client workplaces across the region. Depending on your qualifications, experience and areas of competency, training may include:

• Working Safely at Heights
• Confined Space Entry
• Gas Test Atmospheres
• Breathing Apparatus
• White Card
• Elevated Work Platform
• Forklift
• Traffic Control
• Fire Warden & Fire Safety
• Electrical Safety / Low Voltage Rescue
• Emergency Response
• First Aid
• Silica and Asbestos Awarness

Health and Safety Rep Trainers and assessor with skills in the following Civil Plant & Machinery will be highly regarded:

• Excavator
• backhoe
• Skid Steer
• Bull Dozer
• Grader
• Roller
• Water cart / dump truck
• loader / compactor
• 4wd operations
• ATV / Side by side / tractor
• Civil Construction Skills
• Tellihandler
• Dogging / Rigging
• Crane Operations

You do not need to be qualified across all areas, and we will provide extensive opportunities for the right person to upskill. We are interested in trainers with experience and competency across one or more workplace safety disciplines, but more importantly we want trainer with the right approach to achieving client learning outcomes.

• Provide learners with practical, real-world knowledge and skills
• Ensure training and assessment meets RTO, regulatory and industry requirements

Applicants should have:

• TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or an accepted equivalent
• Relevant workplace safety qualifications and units of competency
• Demonstrated industry experience and vocational currency
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• A practical, hands‑on approach to training
• Ability to engage with learners from a wide range of industries and backgrounds
• Willingness to travel to client sites when required

Experience delivering nationally recognised training is highly regarded.
