Job summary

Veolia Water in Australia is seeking a Safety Supervisor to drive safety performance across our QGC Water Treatment Assets. You will implement HSSE systems, coordinate training and inductions, and conduct audits to keep teams safe every day.

This role requires formal OH&S qualifications or strong hands-on safety experience, with knowledge of Queensland HSSE laws and auditing practices. Join a global environmental leader committed to safe, sustainable operations.

Qualifications

  • Formal qualification in OH&S or significant hands-on experience in a comparable safety role.
  • Knowledge of Queensland HSSE legislation and HSSE auditing practices.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing safety management systems.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of HSSE management systems across water treatment assets.
  • Coordinate safety training, inductions, and audits to ensure compliance with legislative and contractual requirements.
  • Analyse incidents, near misses, and hazards to drive corrective action programs.
  • Manage injury support and return-to-work coordination.
  • Advise management on HSSE issues and maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes.
  • Provide supervision coverage across operations, environment, and maintenance areas as needed.
  • Champion our Always Safe Charter values across the workplace.
