Job summary

Corine Duke Recruitment Pty Ltd – St Marys NSW is seeking a Safety Officer to own the floor safety function and drive proactive risk management in a Western Sydney manufacturing environment.

You will lead risk assessments, incident investigations and operator training, supported by a dedicated safety team and a Safety Manager with deep industry experience.

Qualifications

• Cert IV in WHS is essential (or close to completing one).
• At least 3-5 years' hands-on experience in manufacturing, warehousing, logistics or a similarly hazardous environment.
• Cert IV in Training and Assessment, ISO 45001 Internal Auditor training, or ICAM incident investigation training would be beneficial.
• Confidence to walk onto a production floor and be taken seriously by people who've been there longer than you.

Responsibilities

• Run risk assessments, inspections and incident investigations across the business.
• Manage manual handling, machine guarding and operator competency programs.
• Build genuine trust with experienced operators.
• Take over practical safety training currently run by an external consultant, building your own program.

Safety Officer | St Marys | $100,000 - $120,000 + Super

You may already be working as a HSEQ, Safety or WHS Officer in an Industrial environment and are looking for more room to grow your career. A growing industrial manufacturer in Western Sydney needs someone who already knows their way around a production floor to take real ownership of safety. You will have a safety team around you to ensure you have the right support and training.

You'll need to bring a passion for safety and a genuine interest in developing your career within a manufacturing environment. You're a people person who enjoys building relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

A Cert IV in WHS is essential (or you're close to completing one).

You'll join a small safety team, reporting to a Safety Manager with genuinely deep industry experience who trains, supports and develops her team rather than just directing them.

Day to day, you're working across production and warehouse teams, not just sitting in a corner updating registers
