Job summary

Easy Signs is seeking an experienced Safety & Facilities Officer to lead WHS across our Australian operations and own the safety agenda. You will work closely with HR, Production, Warehouse, Quality and Leadership teams to promote a safer, more efficient workplace and be the go-to safety partner on site.

In this role you will improve WHS systems, run audits and training, investigate incidents and hazards, and support workers’ compensation and return-to-work matters.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in workplace safety, preferably in manufacturing/production.
• Diploma of WHS preferred, or Certificate IV with strong practical experience.
• Approachable, proactive and hands-on with relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

Job description

We're looking for an experienced Safety & Facilities Officer to join Easy Signs and help us create an even safer, better workplace for our team.

As a fast-growing, Australian-owned business, we're always looking for ways to improve how we work and support our people. This newly created role is an opportunity to take real ownership of safety across our Australian operations, bring new ideas to the table and help shape our approach to WHS as we grow.

Alongside safety, you'll also help keep our site running smoothly, safely and efficiently, working closely with our HR, Production, Warehouse, Quality and Leadership teams. You'll be a trusted, approachable point of contact for practical safety advice and support.

About the Role:

No two days will look exactly the same. You'll spend your time improving our WHS systems, coordinating audits and training, investigating incidents and hazards, supporting workers compensation and return-to-work matters, and working with SafeWork NSW and other external partners when needed.

You'll also oversee day-to-day facilities matters, coordinating contractors and building maintenance to make sure our workplace remains safe, functional and well looked after.

About You:

You'll ideally have 5+ years' experience in workplace safety, with experience in manufacturing, production or a similar environment being a big plus. A Diploma of WHS is preferred, or a Certificate IV backed by strong practical experience.

More than anything, we're looking for someone who is approachable, proactive and hands-on. You'll enjoy building relationships, solving problems and being out in the business rather than managing safety purely from behind a desk.
