About the Role

An opportunity is available for an experienced WHS Advisor to join an established national organisation in a hands-on role supporting safety across its operations.

Working closely with leaders and frontline teams, you will help make safety a practical part of everyday work. You will be visible across the operation, building relationships, understanding challenges and helping teams identify and address risks before incidents occur.

The role combines proactive safety improvement with responsibility for workers compensation, injury management and return-to-work coordination. You will have the opportunity to influence how safety is managed while supporting employees through recovery and back into sustainable work.

This position suits someone who can balance sound technical advice with a collaborative approach confident enough to challenge unsafe practices and practical enough to help people find workable solutions.

  • Partnering with operational leaders to identify, assess and manage risks across day-to-day activities.
  • Coordinating workers compensation claims and return-to-work plans, working closely with employees, managers, brokers, insurers and rehabilitation providers.
  • Turning findings from workplace inspections, audits and incident investigations into practical improvements, with clear ownership and follow-up.
  • Providing advice on WHS obligations and keeping policies, procedures and safe work practices relevant to operational needs.
  • Engaging employees through toolbox talks, training and consultation with teams and Health and Safety Representatives.
  • Supporting the identification and management of psychosocial hazards.
  • Maintaining accurate safety records, incident reports and corrective action tracking.
  • Helping managers strengthen accountability and embed consistent safety practices across their teams.
  • Providing day-to-day admin support, keeping documentation, system records and outstanding actions organised and up to date.

  • Strong working knowledge of relevant state WHS legislation and practical risk management.
  • Demonstrated experience in workers compensation, injury management and return-to-work coordination.
  • Experience conducting incident investigations, workplace audits and risk assessments.
  • The ability to engage frontline employees, contractors, supervisors and senior leaders.
  • Strong organisational skills, accurate report writing and a proactive approach to follow-up.
Why Consider This Opportunity?

  • Support and collaboration from an experienced national team.
  • Exposure to diverse operational environments.
  • Opportunities for professional development and career progression.
