Job summary

ManpowerGroup in Sydney seeks a proactive Safety Coordinator to promote safe work practices and support day-to-day site safety across major construction projects. This full-time role offers exposure to a leading Tier 1 contractor and ongoing professional development.

The successful candidate will travel between project sites to conduct inspections, assist with risk assessments, incident investigations, SWMS, and safety program improvements.

Qualifications

  • Relevant WHS qualifications or related discipline.
  • 3–5+ years in a Safety Coordinator/Advisor role in construction.
  • Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel between sites.

Responsibilities

  • Provide proactive health and safety support across multiple construction projects in Sydney.
  • Travel between project sites to conduct inspections, audits and safety observations.
  • Conduct site inductions for employees, subcontractors and visitors.
  • Assist with risk assessments, SWMS, incident investigations and corrective actions.
  • Support implementation and continuous improvement of Health, Safety and Environmental Management Systems.
  • Monitor site safety performance and identify opportunities to improve outcomes.

Safety Coordinator | Sydney | Tier 1 Construction

An industry-leading Tier 1 construction contractor is seeking a motivated and practical Safety Coordinator to join their Sydney team on a full-time permanent basis. With a strong pipeline of secured projects and a reputation for delivering some of Australia's most significant construction developments, this is an excellent opportunity to further your career within a high-performing and safety-focused business. Working closely with project teams, you will play a key role in promoting safe work practices, supporting day-to-day site safety requirements, and contributing to the successful delivery of major construction projects across Sydney. Key Responsibilities
  • Provide proactive health and safety support across multiple construction projects throughout Sydney
  • Travel between project sites to conduct inspections, audits and safety observations
  • Conduct site inductions for employees, subcontractors and visitors
  • Assist project teams with risk assessments, Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS), incident investigations and corrective actions
  • Support the implementation and continuous improvement of Health, Safety and Environmental Management Systems
  • Monitor site safety performance and identify opportunities to improve safety outcomes
  • Deliver safety guidance, coaching and education to project teams and subcontractors
  • Promote a positive and proactive safety culture through effective communication and engagement
  • Assist with injury management and return-to-work processes where required
  • Maintain accurate safety records, reports and compliance documentation
  • Build strong working relationships with site teams, subcontractors and key stakeholders
Requirements
  • Relevant qualifications in Workplace Health & Safety or a related discipline
