Job summary

HSB Resources is seeking a Safety Advisor to join a project team on a short-term contract. This is a field-based role on-site with supervisors, crews and subcontractors to drive a strong safety culture.

Applicants should have WHS certification and relevant experience in construction or resources. The role includes 10 days on / 4 days off roster and accommodation provided.

Qualifications

• Field safety experience in construction, infrastructure, renewables, or resources.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to build rapport with subcontractors and site teams.
• Current Driver's Licence.

Responsibilities

• Conducting regular safety interactions and field observations.
• Engaging with subcontractors and work crews on site.
• Monitoring and reporting against project safety KPIs.
• Supporting supervisors with safe work practices.
• Completing inspections, audits, and hazard identification activities.
• Assisting with incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Promoting proactive safety leadership across the project.

Safety Advisor | 10/4 Roster | Accommodation Provided

We are currently seeking an Safety Advisor to join a project team on a short-term contract basis.

This is a hands-on, field-based role where you'll be out on site working directly with supervisors, crews, and subcontractors to drive a positive safety culture. If you're looking for a role behind a desk completing paperwork all day, this isn't it.

Key Responsibilities

• Conducting regular safety interactions and field observations
• Engaging with subcontractors and work crews on site
• Monitoring and reporting against project safety KPIs
• Supporting supervisors with safe work practices
• Completing inspections, audits, and hazard identification activities
• Assisting with incident investigations and corrective actions
• Promoting proactive safety leadership across the project

About You

• Previous experience in a Safety Advisor role within construction, infrastructure, renewables, or resources
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Ability to build rapport with subcontractors and site teams
• Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety (minimum)
• Current Driver's Licence
