Job summary

NSW Government invites applications for a School Psychologist at Moree Secondary College Albert Street Campus. This full-time role delivers counselling and psychological assessment to students, supports teachers, and collaborates with families and external agencies to strengthen learning and wellbeing outcomes.

The successful candidate will be based at Moree and work across primary and high school ages, with opportunities for professional development and involvement in a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Registration with the Psychology Board of Australia (General or Provisional) is required.
• WWCC clearance (NSW) is mandatory.
• Current driver's licence and ability to travel between sites are required.

Responsibilities

• Provides counselling and psychological services to students, individually and in groups.
• Performs cognitive, social, emotional and behavioural assessments and reports results.
• Collaborates with school staff to improve learning, wellbeing and mental health outcomes.
• Works with learning and support teams, parents, carers and external agencies to develop student support.
• Responds to incidents as part of a team to assist schools in challenging situations.
• Refers students and families to external services to support wellbeing outcomes.
• Engages with Professional Practice Framework for the NSW School Counselling Service.
• Participates in supervision and continuing professional development.
