Qualifications

• Evidence of capacity to create a shared vision and set school goals.
• Ability to manage high-quality teaching and cultivate a culture of challenge and collaboration.
• Capacity to develop and implement evidence-based improvement plans and lead change.
• Experience in managing human, physical and financial resources.
• Ability to foster a professional learning community focused on continuous improvement.
• Strong engagement with students, families and the local community.
• Ability to build partnerships between the school and the wider community.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, delivery, evaluation and improvement of education for all students.
• Serve as executive officer of the school council and provide council with appropriate advice.
• Establish and manage financial and resource systems in line with Department guidelines.
• Represent the Department in school and local community settings.
• Implement council decisions and contribute to policy development.
• Drive system-wide activities and strategic planning.
• Involve staff, students and community in policy and program development.
• Monitor and report progress to stakeholders as appropriate.
