Job summary
Hunter New England Local Health District's Scone Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide high‑quality, person‑centred care across a diverse ward. The role offers flexible permanent, full‑time, part‑time and casual opportunities in a rural setting.
You will work with a dynamic team, undertake assessments, administer medications, support professional development and contribute to safe patient flow. Remuneration ranges from $41.22 to $57.88 per hour plus superannuation and salary
Qualifications
- Minimum 12 months' clinical nursing experience.
- Strong clinical assessment and decision‑making skills.
- Ability to work with autonomy while escalating when needed.
- Excellent communication and teamwork.
- Commitment to safe, person‑centred care.
- Willingness to develop clinical skills and knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Provide high‑quality, person‑centred nursing care to an allocated patient load.
- Complete comprehensive assessments and develop care plans.
- Administer medications and perform procedures within scope.
- Recognise and respond to changes in clinical condition and escalate appropriately.
- Coordinate patient care with the multidisciplinary team.
- Provide leadership and support to junior staff and mentees.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and contribute to quality care.
