Job summary

Scone Hospital, part of Hunter New England Local Health District, is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide high-quality, person-centred care across a diverse ward setting. Qualifications

• Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
• Minimum 12 months' clinical nursing experience.
• Ability to work across different clinical areas within the facility.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, evidence-based and person-centred nursing care to an allocated patient load.
• Complete comprehensive assessments and develop care plans.
• Administer medications and undertake clinical procedures as scoped.
• Recognise and respond to changes in patients' clinical conditions.
• Coordinate patient care with the multidisciplinary team.
• Provide clinical leadership and support to Enrolled Nurses and other staff.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families and healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Contribute to a positive team culture and safe care delivery.
• Support daily ward operations and patient flow.
• Participate in quality improvement and professional development activities.
