Job summary

Hunter New England Local Health District invites applications for Enrolled Nurse positions at Scone Hospital, a rural NSW facility offering diverse clinical exposure and strong onsite education support. The role includes working under RN direction, improving patient outcomes and participating in a structured orientation.

You will be supported by an onsite CNE and NUM, with opportunities for professional development, venipuncture/cannulation training, and a focus on safe, person-centred care

Qualifications

• Current Authority to Practice as an Enrolled Nurse with AHPRA.
• Demonstrated ability to provide safe, person-centred nursing care within scope of practice.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to work across different clinical areas and nearby facilities as required.
• Minimum 12 months' clinical nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients within your scope of practice.
• Manage an allocated patient load under the direction of the RN.
• Undertake clinical observations, assessments and nursing interventions.
• Recognise and report changes in a patient’s condition.
• Administer medications and undertake clinical procedures within your scope of practice and competency.
• Support patients and their families throughout their care.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Work collaboratively with RNs, medical staff and the broader multidisciplinary team.
• Contribute to the day-to-day operation of the ward and delivery of safe patient care.
• Participate in education, professional development and competency-based training.
