Job summary

Moonambel Primary School seeks a dynamic principal to lead teaching and learning in a rural setting. You will drive a vision aligned with the Department's goals, support staff wellbeing, and strengthen links with families and the local community.

The role requires strategic thinking, strong governance, and the ability to manage resources to deliver high-quality education for Foundation to Year 6 students in a small, close-knit cluster.

Qualifications

• Ability to create a shared vision, define goals and communicate expectations for performance.
• Manage the quality of teaching and create a culture of challenge, support and collaboration.
• Develop clear, evidence-based improvement plans and policies and lead change.
• Ensure allocation and management of human, physical and financial resources.
• Foster a professional learning community focused on improvement of teaching and wellbeing.
• Develop positive relationships with students, families and the community.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, delivery, evaluation and improvement of education for all students.
• Act as executive officer of the school council and provide guidance to council.
• Ensure resources are efficiently allocated and managed.
• Represent the Department in school activities and community interactions.
• Implement school council decisions and support operational requirements.
• Contribute to system-wide policy and strategic planning.
• Engage staff, students and the community in school development.
