Job summary

NSW Health Pathology in Tumbarumba is seeking a Medical Laboratory Assistant for a permanent part-time position. You will perform venepuncture, support specimen collection, and ensure accurate data entry across inpatient, outpatient and home care settings.

No prior blood collection experience is required as training is provided; the role offers a supportive team, relocation considerations, and an incentive scheme applicable in regional NSW.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Pathology Collections or proven venepuncture experience.
• Demonstrated customer service skills and ability to communicate with patients, carers and staff.
• Good problem solving and data accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to pathology collection service across inpatient, outpatient and home care settings.
• Perform venepuncture and duties related to specimen collection, data entry, processing and delivery into sites for pathology investigations.
