Job summary
Far West NSW Local Health District in Broken Hill NSW invites applications for a Palliative Care Nurse Practitioner. Qualifications
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery board of Australia and endorsement as a Nurse Practitioner
- Minimum 5 years full-time post-registration experience, with at least 3 years in Palliative Care
- Postgraduate qualifications relevant to Palliative Care
- Ability to provide independent and collaborative palliative care within a multidisciplinary team
- Strong leadership, negotiation and change management skills
Responsibilities
- Provide independent and collaborative expert palliative care nursing for patients with life-limiting illness
- Perform comprehensive assessments, interpret diagnostics and implement treatment modalities
- Demonstrate advanced clinical leadership and education within the Palliative Care setting
