Hunter New England Local Health District is seeking a Rural General Nurse Practitioner/Transitional Nurse Practitioner at Moree District Hospital. You will deliver advanced clinical assessment and management within a Nurse Practitioner framework, with structured support for endorsement and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Current Registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA and endorsement as a Nurse Practitioner or progress towards endorsement.
• Post graduate qualification in Emergency Nursing or equivalent emergency experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and management within an approved scope of practice.
• Support patient flow and hospital avoidance through timely assessment and management.
• Collaborate with Emergency Department and community teams to improve patient pathways and reduce avoidable presentations.
