Job summary

Hunter New England Local Health District in Inverell is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner with an Emergency Department background to deliver high‑quality, patient‑centred care. You will work autonomously within a multidisciplinary team to provide safe, timely and evidence‑based ED services in a rural hospital setting.

This permanent or temporary opportunity offers flexible hours up to 38 per week, competitive remuneration of $79.80–$85.44 per hour plus 12% super and rural incentives,

Qualifications

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA and current endorsement as a Nurse Practitioner.
• Completion of a Board-approved Nurse Practitioner qualification at master’s level, or equivalent education as determined by the Board.
• Strong Emergency Department experience, with demonstrated ability to provide advanced, autonomous clinical care.
• A commitment to collaborative practice, clinical excellence and delivering safe, person-centred care.

Responsibilities

• Deliver autonomous, high‑quality nurse practitioner care in the Emergency Department.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide timely and evidence‑based care.
• Support professional development and mentoring within the ED setting.
