Job summary

Southern NSW Local Health District is seeking a Nurse Practitioner/Transitional Nurse Practitioner for the Narrandera/Leeton cluster. The role offers autonomous practice across diverse rural settings, enabling advanced clinical skills and professional growth in a supportive multidisciplinary team.

You will work with communities across Narrandera, Leeton, Lockhart, Hillston and Lake Cargelligo, delivering high-quality care and continuing education while aligning with NSW Health policies.

Qualifications

• Current authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse / Midwife with AHPRA.
• Eligibility to obtain Nurse Practitioner authorisation within 2 years or CNC level 2 wage if in transition.
• Ability to work autonomously within a multidisciplinary team across acute and community settings.
• Strong written and verbal communication; computer literacy with word processing and databases.

Responsibilities

• Manage a broad range of acute and chronic presentations and coordinate referrals for integrated care.
• Autonomously initiate and monitor care with evidence-based interventions.
• Provide leadership in preventative health programs and patient education.
• Guide treatment in consultation with GPs and specialist medical officers.
