Job summary

Melbourne Girls Grammar School is seeking a Rowing Operations Coordinator to manage the logistics and operation of the MGGS Rowing Program, ensuring equipment, transport, training sessions, regattas and activities run safely and efficiently. The role supports coaching and student supervision as needed.

Reporting to the Head of Rowing, you will coordinate training logistics, boat storage and maintenance, and safely tow trailers between venues, within a vibrant, inclusive rowing community.

Qualifications

• Highly organised, proactive and self-motivated.
• Experience towing trailers and transporting rowing boats.
• Knowledge of rowing operations, boat rigging and equipment maintenance.
• Strong organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic sporting environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate logistics for rowing training sessions, regattas, camps and other program activities.
• Manage transportation, preparation, storage and maintenance of rowing boats, trailers and associated equipment.
• Safely tow rowing trailers and transport equipment between training and competition venues.
• Provide practical operational support during training sessions and regattas, including boat rigging, launching and retrieval.
• Conduct equipment safety checks and support compliance with the Rowing Safety Management Plan.
• Provide coaching and student supervision support, when required, in line with MGGS Model of Rowing.
