Job summary

Anglicare Southern Queensland in Eight Mile Plains is expanding its Centralised Rostering Team, recruiting six Permanent Full-Time Rostering Officers and two 6-month fixed-term Rostering Officers.

You will create and manage roster templates, ensure compliance with Awards and Enterprise Agreements, allocate shifts fairly, and coordinate coverage for planned and unplanned absences. This role supports care delivery across Queensland with 6:00am–6:00pm shifts and 2 days WFH.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience working in a centralised rostering function.
• Strong understanding of end-to-end rostering processes.
• Experience in a fast-paced rostering, workforce coordination, administration or scheduling environment.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage roster templates to ensure effective service delivery.
• Develop and maintain rosters that meet operational requirements and comply with Awards and Enterprise Agreements.
• Allocate shifts fairly considering employee welfare and availability.
• Fill vacant shifts promptly to minimise service disruption and control costs.
• Coordinate coverage for planned absences including annual and parental leave.
• Source available staff to cover unplanned absences, including sick leave.
• Review and authorise timesheets daily to support payroll accuracy.
• Liaise with Scheduling Officers and Payroll Advisors to resolve system issues.
• Serve as the primary rostering contact for inquiries.
• Maintain accurate workforce records including leave requests and service preferences.
