Are you ready for a role where you can walk out the door knowing you have helped deliver exceptional care by ensuring the right people are in the right place at the right time? At Roshana Care Group, we have been proudly caring for older Australians for more than 20 years across Western Australia, Queensland, New South Wales, South Australia, and Victoria, and we are continuing to grow. Guided by our values of Compassion, Respect, Communication, Teamwork, and Integrity, we do not just provide care – we create real homes and real connections.

About the Facility

Macleay Valley Aged Care is a large 150‑bed home in Frederickton on the NSW mid‑north coast, overlooking rural and river landscapes. The site offers a mix of single and companion rooms, verandas, chapel, café and extensive communal areas that encourage social connection.
We are looking for a Rostering Coordinator to join our aged care team at Macleay Valley Aged Care, in a (full‑time) capacity.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Rostering Coordinator to manage the day-to-day rostering and workforce coordination for our aged care facility. This fast-paced role is critical to ensuring safe staffing levels are maintained while supporting operational efficiency and high-quality resident care.

Working closely with the Facility Manager, clinical leaders, and employees, you will coordinate rosters, manage shift replacements, maintain workforce records, and respond to changing staffing requirements in a timely and professional manner. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, thrives under pressure, and has exceptional organisational and communication skills.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Develop, maintain, and coordinate staff rosters to ensure appropriate staffing levels across all shifts.
  • Manage planned and unplanned leave, shift changes, and last-minute vacancies.
  • Coordinate agency staff and casual workforce requirements when required.
  • Liaise with managers and employees regarding roster requests, availability, and staffing needs.
  • Monitor roster compliance with relevant awards, enterprise agreements, policies, and legislative requirements.
  • Maintain accurate employee availability, roster, and workforce records.
  • Assist with onboarding and rostering of new employees.
  • Generate roster reports and provide workforce information to support operational planning.
  • Support payroll processes by ensuring roster and attendance information is accurate and submitted on time.
  • Provide administrative support to the management team as required.
  • Build positive working relationships with employees while delivering responsive and professional customer service.
What You Will Bring
  • Previous experience in a rostering, workforce planning, scheduling, or coordination role, preferably within aged care, healthcare, or a similar 24/7 operational environment.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex rosters and responding to changing staffing requirements.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships at all levels.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience using rostering and workforce management systems (Humanforce, UKG, Procura, Care Systems, or similar is highly regarded).
  • Sound computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
  • Knowledge of aged care awards, enterprise agreements, and workforce compliance requirements is desirable.
  • A National Police Clearance or NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willingness to obtain one.
Why You Will Love Working with Us
  • Real career pathways, with opportunities to grow within the company.
  • Ongoing training, mentoring, and opportunities to learn on the job.
  • Supportive, approachable leaders who listen and support.
  • A friendly, inclusive team that enjoys working together, celebrates achievements, and supports one another.
  • Access to an Employee Assistance Program for additional support when you need it.
  • A values-driven culture where your ideas are welcomed and your hard work is recognised.
Ready to Make a Real Difference?

If you enjoy coordinating people, solving staffing challenges, and playing a vital role in supporting quality aged care services, we would love to hear from you.

Our Approach

Your life is yours to live, we’re simply along to support the ride. This is always how we’ve seen our role; to stand beside you on your journey, never leading or pushing you towards a certain goal or lifestyle. That means that a lot of what we do starts with a curiosity to get to know you. We listen and then design a care plan that suits your needs. This mandate extends to all areas of support - from mental health care to aged care and independent living assistance. When it comes to people, being heard is often the most important thing.
