Job summary

The Grove Academy in Mount Annan is seeking a Room Leader to guide a small team of educators and deliver high-quality early learning experiences. You will mentor staff, ensure exceptional care and education for every child, and uphold child-safe practices across daily operations.

Responsibilities include leading programs, maintaining a safe environment, and building strong relationships with families while prioritizing child wellbeing and development.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading a room and mentoring educators.
• Strong knowledge of the EYLF, NQS, and child development.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Positive attitude and dedication to creating memorable learning experiences.
• Understanding of child protection responsibilities and mandatory reporting.
• Completion of Foundations of Child Safety training or willingness to complete before commencement.
• Valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) required.

About the Role

As a Room Leader at The Grove Academy, you’ll take on a leadership role in creating a nurturing and inspiring learning environment for children and educators. You’ll guide and mentor your team, ensuring exceptional care and education for every child.

Key responsibilities include:

Skills & Experience

We’re looking for a leader who is passionate about shaping a positive learning environment. To thrive in this role, you’ll need:

• A Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care
• Proven experience leading a room and mentoring educators
• Strong knowledge of the EYLF, NQS, and child development

• A positive attitude and love for creating memorable experiences
• Strong understanding of child protection responsibilities and mandatory reporting
• Ability to identify and respond to risks to children’s safety
