Job summary

The Grove Academy Edmondson Park is seeking an experienced Room Leader to guide and mentor a team of educators, delivering nurturing and high‑quality learning experiences for children. You will lead milestone-based programs and support families while upholding child-safe practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor in Early Childhood Education and Care.
• Proven experience leading a room and mentoring educators.
• Strong knowledge of EYLF and NQS and child development.
• Exceptional leadership, communication and teamwork skills.
• Positive attitude and love for creating memorable experiences.
• Strong understanding of child protection responsibilities and mandatory reporting.
• Ability to identify and respond to risks to children’s safety.
• Foundations of Child Safety training completed (or willing to).

About the Role

As a Room Leader at The Grove Academy, you’ll take on a leadership role in creating a nurturing and inspiring learning environment for children and educators. You’ll guide and mentor your team, ensuring exceptional care and education for every child.

• Actively supervising children and maintaining awareness of risks in the environment
• Reporting any concerns or incidents in line with service policies and procedures

• A Bachelor in Early Childhood Education and Care
• Proven experience leading a room and mentoring educators
• Strong knowledge of the EYLF, NQS, and child development
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and teamwork skills
• A positive attitude and love for creating memorable experiences
• Strong understanding of child protection responsibilities and mandatory reporting
• Ability to identify and respond to risks to children’s safety
• Completed the Foundations of Child Safety training (or willing to complete prior to commencement).
