Job summary

Bones Plumbing & Roofing is seeking an experienced Roofing Estimator to join our Noosaville team, serving Noosa and the Sunshine Coast. You’ll inspect roofs on-site, identify issues and translate findings into accurate, detailed quotes for customers and internal teams.

Based from our Noosaville office, you’ll travel to residential jobs, take measurements, photos and notes, and produce clear estimates. A strong roofing background and estimating experience are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Proven experience and strong practical knowledge of roofing.
• Previous estimating/quoting experience, ideally within roofing or a closely related trade.
• A current Australian driver’s licence.
• A current White Card.
• Working at Heights certification, or willingness to obtain it.
• Confidence using technology and learning new software and quoting systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Bones Plumbing & Roofing is looking for an experienced Roofing Estimator to join our team in Noosaville, servicing customers throughout Noosa and the wider Sunshine Coast.

This isn’t a role where you’ll spend every day behind a desk. You'll be out on the road inspecting roofing jobs, getting up on roofs, identifying issues and working out what is required to fix them. You'll then spend time in the office preparing clear, detailed quotes for our customers and team.

We’re looking for someone with strong roofing knowledge, estimating experience and the ability to communicate confidently with both customers and our internal team.

What You’ll Be Doing

Your main responsibility will be assessing roofing repair work and preparing accurate quotes.

On a typical week, you’ll:

• Travel to residential and other roofing jobs throughout Noosa and the Sunshine Coast.

• Get onto roofs to carry out thorough inspections and identify leaks, damage, deterioration and other roofing issues.

• Determine the repairs required and the appropriate scope of works.

• Take measurements, photos and other information needed to accurately estimate each job.

• Prepare clear, detailed and accurate quotes for roofing repairs.

• Use our systems to record job information, prepare estimates and manage your quoting workload.

• Communicate with customers about their roofing issues and the work required.

• Work closely with our office and roofing teams to make sure information is communicated clearly and jobs can be completed as quoted.

• Balance your time between site inspections, travel and office‑based estimating and administration.

You’ll Be a Great Fit If

You have strong, proven roofing knowledge and can confidently inspect a roof, identify problems and determine what needs to be done to repair them.

Ideally, you also have previous estimating or quoting experience, as assessing jobs and producing detailed quotes will be the core focus of your role.

You’ll also need to be:

• Reliable and able to manage your workload effectively.

• Detail‑focused - your inspections and quotes need to accurately reflect the work required.

• A confident communicator who can speak professionally with customers and work well with our team.

• Comfortable working independently while still being part of a team.

• Comfortable with technology and able to learn the systems we use for job management and quoting.

• Confident and physically capable of accessing roofs to complete inspections safely.

Essential Requirements

To be considered, you’ll need:

• Proven experience and strong practical knowledge of roofing.

What You’ll Receive

This is a full‑time position working Monday to Friday, based from our Noosaville office and travelling to jobs throughout Noosa and the Sunshine Coast.

You’ll receive:

• $90,000–$100,000 + Super, depending on your experience.

• Company vehicle and fuel card
