Job summary

Youngs is seeking a skilled Roofer to join our team in Gladstone, Queensland. You will undertake general roofing tasks, read drawings, install sheeting, and work to project specifications on industrial and commercial sites.

The role offers permanent, full-time employment with opportunities for overtime, upskilling, and training. Ideal candidates have roof plumbing experience or a trade qualification, a white card, and a valid driver’s license to travel to site as required.

Qualifications

• Experience in the construction industry.
• Trade qualified or equivalent in roofing preferred but not essential.
• Two years demonstrated experience in commercial roofing.

Responsibilities

• Plan, align/level and fix sheeting using hand/power tools.
• Measure and install sheeting and other roofing components.
• Read drawings and follow work orders to meet project specs.
• Contribute to a safe and healthy workplace.

About the Roles

We are seeking a Skilled Roofer with qualifications (or equivalent in industry time)

Your Duties

• General duties including planning, align/level and fix sheeting using hand/power tools
• Measure and install sheeting and all other miscellaneous items associated with roofing
• Ability to read and comprehend drawings as required
• Participate in the development of a safe and healthy workplace
• Establish, manage and maintain a coordinated, organized, team environment
• Ensure that all work is carried to project specifications
• Review procedures and assist with continual improvement
• Read drawings, specifications, follow work orders to determine the product or job instructions

Skills & Experience

• Experience in construction industry
• Trade qualifiedCertIII Roof Plumbing - preferred but not essential
