Job summary

UnknownCo in Yatala is seeking a Lead Roofer for our custom tiny homes project. You will own roofing and external cladding across our tiny homes, decks and pergolas, and lead the quality of workmanship with hands-on responsibility.

You’ll work closely with the founders and Construction Lead, in our indoor workshop, with flexible hours and a steady pipeline of work. This role offers a high salary for the right experience and an opportunity to establish and lead our in-house roofing function.

Lead Roofer - Custom Tiny Homes (Roofing & Cladding)

Yatala | Permanent full-time | Indoor workshop | High salary for the right person

We design and build custom tiny homes on wheels from our workshop in Yatala. As we continue to grow, we’re bringing our roofing work in-house and looking for an experienced Lead Roofer to take ownership of roofing and external cladding across our tiny homes, decks and pergolas.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in high-quality workmanship, can work independently and enjoys being trusted to manage their own day.

You’ll work closely with our founders and Construction Lead, supported by a dedicated labourer and a relaxed, hardworking team.

About the Role

You’ll be responsible for completing roofing and external cladding work across our projects, including:

• Installing Colorbond roofing and wall cladding

• Working across a variety of profiles and custom tiny home designs

• Installing flashings, cappings, trims and associated roof details

• Completing waterproofing and weatherproofing details

• Reading plans and interpreting design requirements

• Planning your work and coordinating materials

• Working with a dedicated labourer

• Communicating with the Construction Lead regarding timing, priorities and site requirements

• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe work area

• Completing quality checks throughout each project

• Taking ownership of producing neat, durable and watertight finishes

This is not repetitive large-scale roofing. Every tiny home is different, so the role requires someone who can think through details, solve problems and deliver a high standard of finish.
