Job summary

Alstom in Sydney, NSW, is building a new Overhauls Team at our maintenance facility in Rouse Hill. We have multiple permanent roles with Monday–Friday shifts, focusing on overhaul rolling stock bogies in our new facility that hosts Australia's first driverless train.

You will collaboratively work with the team to perform heavy overhaul maintenance, remove/install bogies, and rebuild gearboxes and traction motors, while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in heavy mechanical maintenance environments.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced maintenance operation.
• Troubleshooting skills and fault finding.

Responsibilities

• Carry out heavy overhaul maintenance on rolling stock bogies.
• Remove and install bogies.
• Clean and prepare bogies and related components.
• Replace bearings and wheels using specialised machinery.
• Rebuild gearboxes and traction motors.
• Overhaul braking systems.
• Operate workshop equipment safely and effectively.
