Job summary

Alstom is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the Sydney Light Rail fleet in Lilyfield, NSW. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems, working across morning, afternoon, and night shifts on a rotating roster.

The role requires hands-on maintenance experience, a strong teamwork mindset, and the ability to fault-find efficiently. Training and development are provided as part of a collaborative, inclusive culture.

Qualifications

• Troubleshooting and fault-finding abilities.
• Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced maintenance operation.
• Willingness to learn and be a team player.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and rectify electrical and mechanical issues on the light rail fleet.
• Perform damage repairs and data capture using SAP/GSI/SES systems.
• Assist in vehicle modification programs to improve reliability and maintainability.
• Conduct post-work testing and validation as required.
• Build positive relationships with drivers and the Operator to support fleet operation.
• Update the Maintenance Management System with all completed work.
