Randstad is seeking an experienced Roller Operator for a busy road maintenance crew located in Rathdowney, QLD. This temp-to-perm role offers a steady workload with a reputable company and potential for long-term employment.

Location is Rathdowney, QLD. Pay rate is $40-$41 per hour plus penalties and overtime, with Monday–Friday hours and Saturday OT available. A temp-to-perm path and site safety focus are highlighted in the description.

Qualifications

• Experience operating road rollers in civil/road maintenance.
• Valid Roller Ticket RIIMPO317 or equivalent.
• Current White Card (Construction Induction).
• Driver's Licence and reliable transport to site.
• Strong site safety awareness and teamwork.
• Willing to work flexible hours and overtime.
• Experience with other plant machinery (e.g. skid steer, water cart).
• HR Licence or truck driving background.
• Traffic Control tickets are beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Operate smooth drum and multi-tyred rollers on road maintenance projects.
• Carry out compaction of road bases, asphalt, and subgrades.
• Perform daily pre-start checks and basic maintenance on equipment.
• Assist the team with road prep, patching, and general labouring tasks.
• Follow site safety procedures and traffic control measures.
• Ensure machinery is operated safely and efficiently.

Roller Operator - Road Maintenance (Rathdowney QLD)

We are currently seeking an experienced Roller Operator to join a busy road maintenance crew based in Rathdowney, QLD. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for steady work with a reputable company and the potential to transition into a permanent, long-term role.

Location: Rathdowney QLD

Pay Rate: $40 - $41 per hour + penalties and overtime

Hours: Monday to Friday with Saturday work and OT available

Key Responsibilities

• Operate smooth drum and multi-tyred rollers on various road maintenance projects
• Carry out compaction of road bases, asphalt, and subgrades to required standards
• Perform daily pre-start checks and basic preventative maintenance on equipment
• Assist the team with road prep, patching, and general labouring tasks as required
• Follow site safety procedures, traffic control measures, and directions from supervisors
• Ensure machinery is operated efficiently, safely, and within compliance standards

Requirements

• Previous experience operating road rollers in a civil or road maintenance environment
• Valid Roller Ticket (RIIMPO317 or equivalent)
• Current White Card (Construction Induction)
• Driver's Licence and reliable transport to get to site
• Strong awareness of site safety and teamwork skills
• Ability to work flexible hours and commit to overtime when needed
• Experience with other plant machinery (e.g. skid steer, water cart)
