NQ Estimating & Civil Services in Cairns, QLD, seeks experienced Roller Operator / Water Truck / Loader Operator for a casual role on civil construction projects. Based in Cairns, you will operate multi-plant equipment and support site operations across projects.

The successful candidate will hold a Heavy Plant Operator Licence, White Card, and a proven track record with rollers, water trucks, and loaders. You must work safely, communicate clearly with the crew, and fit the physical demands of

Qualificações

• Current Heavy Plant Operator Licence or equivalent qualification.
• Experience operating rollers (vibratory/pneumatic), water trucks and loaders.
• Valid Construction Induction Training Card (White Card) or equivalent construction site safety certification
• Demonstrated commitment to health and safety practices on construction sites
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills and reliability in attendance
• Physical fitness for the demands of plant operation
• Flexibility to work on various project schedules as required

Responsabilidades

• Operate vibratory rollers, pneumatic rollers and other compaction equipment safely and efficiently on construction sites
• Operate water trucks to manage dust control and site moisture requirements as directed
• Operate front-end loaders and similar loading equipment for material handling and site preparation
• Maintain plant and equipment in good working order, conducting pre-start checks and reporting any defects or maintenance requirements
• Follow all site safety protocols, work instructions and environmental guidelines
• Communicate effectively with site supervisors and team members to ensure smooth project operations
• Adhere to all relevant legislation, regulations and company policies whilst on site

We are seeking experienced Roller Operator / Water Truck / Loader Operator professionals to join NQ Estimating & Civil Services on a casual basis. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a dynamic team in the Cairns region, contributing to essential civil construction and infrastructure projects. Based in Cairns, QLD, this role offers flexibility through our casual work arrangement, allowing you to balance work commitments with personal priorities whilst gaining valuable experience in plant and machinery operations.

Key responsibilities

Operate vibratory rollers, pneumatic rollers and other compaction equipment safely and efficiently on construction sites

Operate water trucks to manage dust control and site moisture requirements as directed

Operate front-end loaders and similar loading equipment for material handling and site preparation

Maintain plant and equipment in good working order, conducting pre-start checks and reporting any defects or maintenance requirements

Follow all site safety protocols, work instructions and environmental guidelines

Communicate effectively with site supervisors and team members to ensure smooth project operations

Adhere to all relevant legislation, regulations and company policies whilst on site

What we’re looking for

Current Heavy Plant Operator Licence or equivalent qualification for the relevant equipment types

Proven experience operating rollers (vibratory and/or pneumatic), water trucks and front-end loaders

Valid Construction Induction Training Card (White Card) or equivalent construction site safety certification

Demonstrated commitment to health and safety practices on construction sites

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
