Ocado Group is seeking a Technical Operator to support our Customer Fulfilment Centre in NSW, Australia. The role requires flexibility for 24/7 operations, including days, nights and weekends, with duties spanning bagging systems, conveyors, and robotic end effectors in a highly automated warehouse.

You will assist engineering teams, perform cleaning, basic setup, and preventive maintenance, while ensuring safety and efficient operation of Ocado Smart Platform equipment.

Competenze

• Good organisational ability and the ability to plan and prioritise.
• An eye for detail; good problem solving ability and a practical approach.
• Good communicator with the ability to produce reports.
• Be available to work on a 24/7 rotating shift pattern including day, afternoon and night shifts.
• Self motivated, consistent and able to negotiate demanding periods of activity during a shift.
• Preferred ground floor experience within a heavily automated production environment.
• Demonstrated use of hand held tools and powered equipment in a light industrial environment.
• Working at heights is an integral part of this role and applicants must be comfortable with working at heights up to 15m.
• OH&S practical awareness and the demonstrated ability to work safely individually and as a team.
• Working knowledge of automated warehousing, conveyors, packaging (desirable).

Mansioni

• Support on site bagging machines and container delivery conveyors to maintain a highly efficient bagging delivery operation.
• Loading and operating the bagging machines with new bag stock. Quality control, recording and escalation of issues if required.
• Basic and medium level machine setup, resolving straightforward faults and jams.
• Assist in maintenance and repair tasks under supervision of an engineer.
• Drive machine operation to peak performance by identifying trends and potential improvements.
• Maintain end effectors and consumables, perform preventive maintenance and cleaning of MHE as scheduled.
• Carry out housekeeping around robotic pick arms and grid areas.
• Support Ocado Smart Platform equipment operations and maintenance.
• Liaise with EngOps and support jam busting and fault clearing as directed.
