The University of Sydney invites applications for a part-time Robotics and Digital Fabrication Officer to coordinate the Robotics Laboratory within the Design Modelling and Fabrication Lab. You will teach, support researchers, and develop tooling and workflows to enable access to robotic technology.

Based in the Sydney School of Architecture, Design and Planning, the role involves hands-on fabrication, safety oversight, and student instruction with opportunities to contribute to teaching

Competenze

• Experience in a fabrication laboratory or education environment.
• Proficiency with robotics and digital technologies relevant to the work area.
• Ability to develop and implement safety procedures in an educational environment.

Mansioni

• Provide specialist technical support for teaching, research, and operational activities within the Robotics and Digital Fabrication Laboratories.
• Ensure the laboratory environment supports the School's learning, teaching, and research objectives.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance laboratory technologies, systems, workflows, and services.
• Oversee laboratory compliance with Workplace Health and Safety requirements, promoting a safe working environment.
• Undertake fabrication and prototyping projects, including documentation and technical records.
