Job summary

Norwest Private Hospital, part of Healthscope, seeks a Robotic Urology Coordinator (Perioperative) with advanced robotic and urology expertise. You will lead the Robotic Urology program, coordinate lists, mentor perioperative staff and drive clinical excellence within a high-acuity environment.

Reporting to theatre leadership, you’ll collaborate with surgeons, anaesthetists and multidisciplinary teams, ensuring safe patient care while championing continuous education and quality improvement

Qualifications

• Current unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
• Minimum 4 years' experience as a Scrub/Scout Nurse in Urology, including robotic procedures.
• Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including evenings, on-call requirements and occasional Saturdays.
• Sound understanding of ACORN standards, risk management principles and contemporary perioperative practice.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee the Robotic Urology program.
• Manage and facilitate robotic surgical lists to ensure efficient theatre operations.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anaesthetists, industry representatives and theatre teams.
• Provide clinical leadership and mentorship to perioperative nursing staff.
• Promote and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
• Support ongoing education, training and professional development.
• Ensure compliance with ACORN standards and relevant legislation.
• Contribute to risk management and patient safety activities.
• Participate in a 7-day on-call roster.
