Job summary

Macquarie University Health in Sydney is seeking an experienced perioperative Registered Nurse to join the Urology Theatre team on a permanent, full-time basis. You will work within state-of-the-art operating theatres, scrub/scout as needed, and support safe, high‑quality surgical care across a range of urological procedures.

Qualifications

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
• Experience as scrub and/or scout nurse in urology would be highly desirable.
• Experience with urological surgical equipment and technologies preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and set up surgical instruments and urological equipment.
• Perform scrub and/or scout duties across urological surgeries.
• Conduct pre-operative safety checks per perioperative protocols.
• Operate endoscopic systems, laser devices and irrigation equipment.
• Support the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
