Job summary

Norwest Private Hospital is seeking an experienced Perioperative RN to join as Robotic Urology Coordinator, a leadership role within our Robotic Urology Program. You will lead robotic service delivery, coordinate lists, collaborate with surgeons, anaesthetists and theatre teams to ensure patient-centered outcomes.

Reporting to the Deputy Theatre Manager and Perioperative Services Manager, you will mentor nursing staff, drive quality improvement, ensure ACORN compliance and participate in a 7-day

Qualifications

• Current unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
• Minimum 4 years' experience as a Scrub/Scout Nurse in Urology, including robotic procedures.
• Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to teach, coach and support staff development.
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including evenings, on-call requirements and occasional Saturdays.
• Sound understanding of ACORN standards, risk management principles and contemporary perioperative practice.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee the Robotic Urology program.
• Manage and facilitate robotic surgical lists to ensure efficient theatre operations.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anaesthetists, industry representatives and theatre teams.
• Provide clinical leadership and mentorship to perioperative nursing staff.
• Promote and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
• Support ongoing education, training and professional development.
• Ensure compliance with ACORN standards and relevant legislation.
• Contribute to risk management and patient safety activities.
• Participate in a 7-day on-call roster.
