Job summary

Allpress Espresso Ltd in Melbourne is seeking an experienced Roasting Assistant to support our roastery team. You will work hands-on across roasting, production, and packing, ensuring high-quality coffee and smooth daily operations.

Ideal candidates have roasting experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to follow production schedules in a fast-paced environment. A forklift licence is a bonus and we offer extensive perks and growth opportunities.

About your new role

We’re looking for an experienced Roasting Assistant to join our Melbourne roasting teamto support in delivering consistent, high-quality coffee that meets Allpress Espresso’s production requirements.

Working closely with the Roasting Lead, the Roasting Assistant plays a hands‑on role across the roastery - supporting everything from roasting and production through to packing. It’s a great opportunity to build your skills, further your craft in roasting, and grow your product knowledge as part of a team that takes pride in consistently great coffee.

A day in the life

• Support roasting and production to deliver coffee we're proud of
• Help keep things moving by meeting production targets and maintaining quality standards
• Take care of the roastery through day‑to‑day upkeep and equipment care
• Assist with packing and preparing orders ready for our customers
• Pitch in with stock and help keep the space organised and running smoothly
• Work closely with the team to keep everything flowing and support each other day to day

About you

Ideally, you’ll come from a roasting background and have an interest in specialty coffee. You'll be someone who:

• Has previous knowledge and experience of roasting coffee
• Has strong attention to detail and a focus on quality and consistency
• Is confident working to processes and production schedules in a fast‑paced environment
• Brings a positive, collaborative approach and clear communication skills

A forklift licence is a bonus.
