Job summary

Ventia in Toowoomba seeks an experienced Safety (SHEQ) Advisor to roam across remote Queensland sites, providing hands-on safety support at rigs and operations. You will work with crews and leaders to embed safe work practices, conduct site inspections, lead investigations, and strengthen safety behaviours in high-risk environments.

This role offers a 15/13 FIFO roster (12-hour days) with Toowoomba as the hire point, and a competitive day rate of AU$603.20–AU$696.45 depending on experience,

Qualifications

• Experience as Safety Advisor in high-risk industries (construction, mining, infrastructure, energy).
• Strong understanding of WHS legislation and risk management.
• Experience leading audits, inspections and incident investigations.
• Current manual driver’s licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-ground safety support across multiple sites and crews.
• Partner with supervisors to embed safe work practices.
• Conduct site inspections, audits and assurance activities.
• Lead incident investigations and identify root causes.
• Coach and influence teams to strengthen safety behaviours.
• Ensure Ventia’s SHEQ systems are applied across sites.
