Job summary

MACA is seeking a roaming Operational Technology Technician to join our mining business on a permanent, full-time basis, working an 8:6 FIFO roster from Perth. This role primarily supports the Dingo Range operation and the greater Goldfields region, including the Duketon and Gruyere Gold projects.

We are looking for trade or technical qualifications with mechanical or electrical background, and field-based mining communications experience.

Qualifications

• Trade or technical qualification with mechanical or electrical background desirable
• Field-based mining communications experience highly desirable
• Up-to-date knowledge across current industry technology trends
• Strong communication and coordination skills
• High attention to safety, quality and systems thinking
• Intermediate skills using the Microsoft Office suite

Responsibilities

• Support, install and maintain site-based technology systems including GPS, FMS, IVMS, CAS, autonomy, payload management systems and more
• Manage and maintain communications infrastructure (solar trailers, 2 way radio systems, LTE, point-to-point links and more)
• Deliver technical support: troubleshoot, update software, configure hardware, and lead upgrades
• Maintain secure networks aligned with MACA cyber security protocols
• Coordinate subcontractors during deployments and system upgrades
• Develop SOPs, risk assessments, schematics, inventory plans, and training material
• Monitor technology system performance to drive uptime, innovation, and value
