Job summary

MACA Mining Pty Ltd is seeking an Operational Technology Technician to join our mining operations on a permanent, full-time basis. The role is an 8:6 FIFO roster from Perth to Beebyn W11, WA, to support and maintain onsite technology systems across GPS guidance, fleet management and communications.

You will deliver hands-on technical support, upgrade software and coordinate subcontractors while adhering to MACA cyber security protocols.

Qualifications

• Trade or technical qualification in mechanical or electrical field.
• Mining communications experience is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated knowledge of current technology trends in the industry.
• Strong communication and coordination abilities.
• High emphasis on safety, quality and systems thinking.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Support, install and maintain site-based technology systems including GPS guidance (HPGPS), fleet management (FMS), in-vehicle monitoring (IVMS), collision avoidance (CAS), autonomy and payload management.
• Manage and maintain communications infrastructure (solar trailers, 2 way radios, LTE, point-to-point links).
• Deliver technical support: troubleshoot, update software, configure hardware, and lead upgrades.
• Maintain secure networks in line with MACA cyber security protocols.
• Coordinate subcontractors during deployments and upgrades.
• Develop SOPs, risk assessments, schematics, inventory plans and training materials.
• Monitor technology system performance to drive uptime and value.
