Job summary

Transport for NSW is seeking a Road Worker Grade 3 to safely operate road rollers and support maintenance across Narrandera and regional NSW. You’ll perform pre-start checks, use hand tools, and work as part of a team to deliver planned road infrastructure outcomes.

You will hold a White Card, a Class C licence (Provisional P1 acceptable) and be flexible for weekend work and periods away from home. A commitment to safe work practices and quality outcomes is essential.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in road maintenance or civil construction.
• Current Construction Industry White Card.
• Australian Class C driver's licence with Provisional P1 acceptable.
• Willingness to undertake licensing/ticketing requirements.
• Ability to complete work records and communicate with the team.
• Commitment to safe work practices and quality outcomes.
• Willingness to work across Narrandera and regional NSW, including weekends and away-from-home periods.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate road rollers to support road construction and maintenance.
• Undertake road maintenance activities and Road Worker Grade 3 duties.
• Use small plant and hand tools safely.
• Complete pre-start checks, basic plant maintenance, refuelling, and records.
• Follow WHS, environmental and quality procedures.
• Work both independently and in a team to deliver planned outcomes.
• Identify hazards, report issues, and escalate when needed.
