Job summary

Local Workforce Hire is seeking experienced road crew workers for a 3-month contract in the Cairns region. You’ll join a small crew and perform a range of manual labour tasks on outdoor roadworks sites, including laying pipes, patching potholes, and general maintenance.

Start ASAP, with Monday to Friday shifts and a physically demanding workload. This role requires a hands-on attitude, reliable transport to reach the client’s depot, full working rights in Australia, and a Manual C Class licence

Qualifications

• Ability to perform physical manual labour.
• Hold a Manual C Class licence (MR a plus).

Local Workforce Hire is currently representing a client looking for experienced road crew workers for a 3-month contract in the Cairns region.

Position Details

• Days: Monday to Friday
• Start Date: ASAP
• Pay Rate: $38 per hour + superannuation
• Contract: 3 months
• Team: Small road crew

About the Role

You'll be working as part of a small road crew team, assisting with a range of manual labouring tasks, including:

• Laying pipes
• Building headwalls
• Pothole patching
• Digging and concreting
• General road maintenance and labouring duties

This role involves physical manual work, so you'll need to be physically fit and comfortable working outdoors.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Previous experience working as part of a road crew or in a similar roadworks role
• Experience with physical manual labour, including digging and concreting
• A Manual C Class driver's licence (MR licence would be an advantage)
• Full working rights in Australia
• Reliable transport and the ability to travel to and from the client's local depot
• A positive attitude towards workplace health and safety
• A strong work ethic and willingness to work as part of a team
