Job summary

Bathurst Regional Council invites applications for a Truck Driver in the Works section. You will operate the council's truck with a view to supporting urban gangs on road construction and general maintenance projects.

Successful applicants will hold a NSW Class MR Driver’s Licence and experience driving trucks up to 10,000kg GVM, plus basic mechanical knowledge. A White Card and the ability to perform physical labour are essential.

Qualifications

• Current NSW Class MR Driver’s Licence (minimum).
• Experience driving trucks up to 10,000kg GVM.
• Knowledge and experience in basic mechanical & maintenance principles of trucks.

Responsibilities

• Drive the council truck for an urban gang to support road construction and general maintenance tasks.
• Operate in accordance with safety and road construction standards.
• Assist with basic maintenance and upkeep of trucks and equipment.
