Job summary

Bathurst Regional Council – Works section is seeking a Truck Driver to operate a truck for road construction and maintenance tasks in the Bathurst region. The role requires practical truck operation experience and a strong focus on safety and teamwork.

Applicants must hold NSW Class MR (or higher) licence, White Card, and have experience with trucks up to 10,000kg GVM, basic mechanical knowledge, chainsaw competency, and ability to perform physical labour with good numeracy and literacy.

Qualifications

• Current NSW Class MR Driver’s Licence (minimum).
• Experience driving trucks up to 10,000kg GVM.
• General Construction Induction Card (White Card).
• Proven ability to work effectively as a team member.
• Knowledge and experience in basic mechanical & maintenance principles of trucks.
• Knowledge and experience in handling a chainsaw (chainsaw ticket).
• Experience operating small plant used in the construction industry.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of a position requiring considerable labouring work.
• Adequate numeracy and literacy skills to fulfil the requirements of the position.
