Job summary

Job description

Grafton Base Hospital & Health Service is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Emergency Department on a contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to emergency care in a regional setting, with a contract running from now through to 25 October 2026. Based in Grafton, NSW, this role offers the chance to work in a dynamic emergency environment where your clinical skills and experience will make a real difference.

• Emergency Department nursing with a focus on triage and acute patient care
• Contract position, approximately 4 weeks, starting as soon as possible
• Regional location in the Clarence Valley with access to a supportive clinical team

Preferred Requirements

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
• Demonstrated experience working in an Emergency Department
• Proven competence in triage assessment and patient prioritisation
• Current Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent qualification
• Post-graduate qualification or experience in Emergency Nursing
• Additional certifications in trauma or acute care nursing
