Job summary

Whitewater Aged Care Residence in Melbourne seeks an experienced Care Manager (RN) to lead clinical excellence across the residence. You will mentor multidisciplinary teams, drive person-centred care, and ensure compliance with contemporary aged care standards.

As a senior clinical leader, you will partner with the General Manager to deliver safe, high-quality care, support resident outcomes, and foster a collaborative, outcomes-driven culture across the site.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1).
• Proven leadership experience within residential aged care.
• Strong understanding of clinical governance and the Aged Care Quality Standards.
• Proven ability to lead, coach and develop teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• A passion for resident-centred care and quality outcomes.
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Check and Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
• Evidence of current influenza and COVID-19 vaccinations.
• Full Australian working rights.
• Postgraduate qualifications in Gerontology, Aged Care or Leadership.
• Experience leading successful accreditation and quality improvement outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and support clinical and care teams to achieve outstanding resident outcomes.
• Oversee clinical governance, compliance and care delivery across the residence.
• Ensure resident assessments, care plans and clinical documentation are accurate and current.
• Monitor and improve quality, safety and accreditation outcomes.
• Support medication management and clinical decision-making.
• Coach and develop nurses and care staff to build capability and engagement.
• Foster strong relationships with residents, families, GPs and allied health professionals.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives aligned with the Aged Care Quality Standards.
• Promote a positive, collaborative and resident-centred culture.
